EasySecure – How can i enroll a finger?

After adding a new user in your EasySecure environment you will arrive in the following screen:

To enroll a new finger you have to click the icon ‘Finger Templates’ The following window will become visible: 

Please select the scanner you wish to use for finger enrollment in the drop-down menu. By default we have selected the BioMini USB scanner. (Beware! Make sure the USB scanner is connected to the PC and that the driver has been installed.)

It is also possible to use one of the wall mounted scanners to enroll the finger.

Click ‘Read finger’ to enroll a new finger. The selected scanner will now light up and the finger can be placed. The red light of the fingerprint sensor will now light up. You can now place your finger completely flat across the entire sensor surface! Please make sure you place your finger correctly!

  1. Make sure the finger is placed completely flat across the entire sensor surface. 
  2. Make sure the finger is placed straight on the sensor. When you place your finger in a crooked position it is possible that the recognition decreases. 
  3. Enroll the same finger at least 2 times. 
  4. Enroll two different fingers. We recommend using the right- and left index finger.

After your template is successfully registered in EasySecure you will see a new template appear on screen. It is possible to change the name of this ‘new template’  so that you know which finger has been registered. 

You can do this by clicking the field named ” New template” and adjusting the text. You can rename it to RI for example. (Right index finger.) After changing the text you can click the blue coloured checkmark to save the changed template description. The template will turn green for a second to indicate that it has been saved.
