Writing a card via the OSS / Data on card method requires our EasySecure Updater tool and the OSS USB reader.
The latest version of the tool can be downloaded from our website.
Make sure the EasySecure – Updater tool is running on your computer and that the USB reader is connected to the USB port.
You can check the connection icon in the USB tool to confirm if the USB reader is connected.
Card activation is completed in two steps:
In the EasySecure software open the user screen and click on the card icon
In the “Enroll with USB Scanner” section, click on the field to enable the input of characters.
While the Updater tool is running in the background, place the card on the USB reader.
The card number is now read from the card and will be visible in the software.
Click on “Save” to finish; the added card will be visible in the user screen:
When the user is linked to the new card, finally the new data have to be transferred to the card. We can write and update the card by simply placing the card on the USB reader while the Updater tool is running in the background.
Keep in mind that the writing process takes a little longer then reading out the card number. You will see confirmation in the screen of the tool when the writing process is completed.
When the sound icon is activated, a beep tone will confirm when the writing takes place. Please do not remove the card while writing. When the writing is completed, a second beep tone will sound to confirm the writing process is complete.
The card is now updated with the correct access rights and can be used accordingly. All feature changes in the user data, can be updated in the same way.
